WHEN GOD WALKED THE EARTH CHAPTER 37
God releases a soul from the ties of this earth and sends her on her onward journey

God had his living quarters in the secluded corner of the school grounds ,since He did not want to burden Himself on others, He did all His work Himself ,so much so that He even cooked His own food. The food was so deliciously prepared that no one could resist its appetizing aroma and wonderful taste. Goddess Laxshmi was a regular at His table and many times she was accompanied by the other denizens of heaven who too were eager to taste the ambrosia prepared by the creator himself every person who visited His house was treated as God and given the highest respect and love, even if He Himself had to miss eating , He would make sure that He fed His guest well ,before eating food ,God offered food to Goddess Anapoorna-the giver of foods and thanked her for gifting Him a wonderful array of delicious food for His table ,two eyes to feast on the bounty ,hands to eat the food ,and mouth to savor it.
As usual one day after offering His prayers to Goddess Anapoorna,God went into kitchen to mix the offering in the remaining food before eating ,to get her blessings ,He was amazed at what He saw. All the utensils were licked clean of every trace of food ,completely stumped ,God stood rooted to the spot ,then He rationalized that perhaps an animal had sneaked in and had eaten the food, nothing happened for a week and then once again when God went to fetch the food ,He found every single utensil empty ,He could not fathom what was happening ,was some one having access to His house without His knowledge? When He narrated the incident to Goddess Laxshmi and His doubts about some one entering the house without His knowledge ,Goddess replied “ my lord how is it possible to enter the house when all the doors and windows are latched from within”,
“then what do you think is happening? Asked God
“I think some denizens of heaven are playing pranks on you” ,replied the Goddess
“may be you are right”, God said in a uncertain tone
Once again every thing was fine for about a week ,then once again the vessels were all empty and upturned on the floor ,the pranks were going too far for His liking ,therefore He decided to catch the thief red handed. He knew that the thief visited His kitchen every Sunday ,therefore the following Sunday ,God hid Himself behind the kitchen door. One hour passed ,then two hours passed and still there was no sign of the thief. God was feeling very tired and hungry ,He was about to give up ,when He heard noises from the kitchen ,slowly He crept out from behind the door and walked into the kitchen. He came upon a young and a beautiful woman sitting cross-legged on the floor and eating hungrily from out of the vessels, He looked at her in wonder. Who was she? From where had she come? Was she from this earth or some other planet ? who are you and from where have you come?”, God asked her at last The woman just ignored Him and kept on eating ,after she had finished eating every morsel of food ,she wiped her face clean,then looking at Him she said “now you can ask me whatever you want?’
“how did you get inside?”
“I can go anywhere I want ,I donot require locked doors to stop me ,I am formless ,I have lost my body in a car accident”
“but why have you come here?”, questioned God
“one day I was feeling very hungry and I was looking out for some food when I came upon this place and the aroma of your food was so heavenly that I could not resist the urge to taste it and once I tasted it I knew I had to eat every thing , I ate and I ate and soon every thing was over ,your food appeases my hunger for one whole week and therefore every Sunday I come here to satisfy my craving for food”
“since your body is dead how is it you are still on earth?,asked God
“I myself do not know why I am left behind whilst my friend was taken on his onward journey”, replied the girl
“how did you lose your body?”, asked God
“I was born with a golden spoon ,I had every thing on a platter , but unfortunately for me I fell into bad company and therefore I went on a wrong path ,I began drinking heavily ,smoking and taking drugs. I frequented discos and night clubs where I searched for a new partner daily to satiate my bodily hunger, One day as usual I had gone to a night club in search of a new hunk ,we both lived it up that night ,by the time the fun was over ,both of us were heavily drunk and in that state he drove the car. Driving through the highway at alarming speed he banged into a tree with the result the car tuned turtle and was engulfed in flames and we both were charred beyond recoginition. My friend was taken away by the angels of death but left me behind saying they had no orders to take me with them since my time had not yet arrived to go to the other world .I was left in the lurch ,neither could I enter my charred body, neither could I go any where else , there is no place for me either on this earth or in other world ,why am I chosen to suffer in such a way?”, she asked God in a plaintive voice
Here was a young woman who did not exist in actual terms and yet she existed with out any identity ,death for every being was the end of ones existence ,but to find one self reduced to a shadow of one self is worst then any suffering,God felt extremely sorry at her predictment “I wish I can give you back your body but I can not ,only Yogmaya can help you to come out of this situation ”God summoned Yogmaya and she immediately appeared before Him,”why is this girl not taken on her onward journey ,why has she been left behind on this earth to become a ghost?”.,asked God
“my lord her life has not yet ended therefore we can not take her”,replied Yogmaya
“then why has she been killed?”. Questioned God
“its her own fault that she finds herself in this impossible situation ,she put her life in the hands of a drunken man who was destined to die in an accident and with him she also lost her body in the accident”, replied Yogmaya
“now how can you help her?”, asked God
“I really have no idea”,replied Yogmaya
“if you don’t help me ,I am going to live here with Him ,I like Him and His company very much ,I suddenly feel different,I nolonger feel bad or grieve about losing my body ,instead of roaming here and there aimlessly I will stay with Him”,said the girl
“please do some thing for her Yogmaya ,I really don’t want her here ,when the students see her loitering about ,the word will soon spread that this place is spooked with the result the students will start leaving this institution .I love this place ,I have given this place so much attention and love I do not want it to come to nought ,so please for my sake help her”, God requested Yogmaya
Your order is my command my lord I will do my best to help her”, Yogmaya was quiet for a while thinking of a way to help the girl and then she said ,”because of her karma of her previous birth she was born into a wealthy family ,but her karmas in this birth are very bad ,she had imbibed all the traits of a way side bitch therefore I can give her birth again as a bitch”,
“but how can you make me an animal when I have risen in my evolutionary process and become a human being?”, questioned the girl
“you carry a wrong impression that once a man reaches the platform of a human life ,it never goes down to animal life again ,if you behave and act like an animal then after your death you will be degraded to an animal whose traits you have imbibed .From here you have again to elevate yourself with good deeds to come back once again in the form of a human being. therefore you should always lead a pious and a pure and a righteous life otherwise there is no guarantee that human being will always be reborn as a human being” ,said Yogmaya
“please help me” ,the girl beseeched God ,”I don’t want to be born as a bitch, I hate dogs ”,when God made no reply ,her voice turned stubborn and she said, ”I prefer to stay with you in this formless form then to be born as a road side bitch”
“I don’t know wether I should interfere”, God replied in an uncertain tone “I will help you but you must give me your solemn promise that in your new birth as a human being you will be good ,kind and honest person who will enact pious deeds”
“I give you my solemn promise”.
God then turned to Yogmaya and addressed her, “since she has many more years left for her sojourn on earth, it is only fair that you give her birth again as a human being, but since her karmas were very bad give her birth in poverty so that she has to struggle to make her ends meet”
“anything is better then being born a bitch “,said the girl.God took the girls hand in His and both walked out of His house and into the open ground,He left her hand and turned back alone and as her soul moved further away from earth she experienced a wispy cloudiness around herself and then sudden brilliance and she saw heavenely figures coming towards her to guide her on her onward journey and into the next birth
